DABA

Dance for All Bodies and Abilities

CSUEB's Theatre and Dance Dance Department is offering the nation's first BA/BFA program in Physically Integrated Dance (dance techniques inclusive of people with and without disabilities).

Physically Integrated Dance is an approach to movement that has countless important applications. In addition to providing a vehicle for people with physical disabilities to receive professionally geared dance training, it is of great relevance to anyone interested in movement, performance, teaching, and rehabilitation. Training in a physically integrated environment fosters heightened creativity, versatility, understanding of the body and an expanded sense of movement possibilities.

Lead by DABA director Eric Kupers, professional dancers from AXIS, and the CSUEB Theatre and Dance Faculty, the CSUEB DABA program is growing into a much needed connection point for people from around the country (and around the globe) who are seeking a physically integrated dance education. In collaboration with AXIS Dance Company, one of the world's leading professional physically integrated dance companies, the CSUEB DABA program is a place for these potential students to flourish and become great artists, teachers and scholars.
