Dance Ensemble is the CSUEB dance company.  Company members include dance majors, dance minors and other committed dancers of all styles and backgrounds. Dance Ensemble members are challenged and supported to find their own voices as artists, and to then give back to our communities.  A spirit of hard work, joy and mutual support is present in everything we do. Dance with us!

Dance Ensemble members train together in contemporary dance, contact improvisation and partnering, jazz and hip hop, while developing advanced choreography and performance experience.  Dancers experienced in Ballet, Ballroom, Breaking, Contemporary Dance, Hip Hop, Jazz, Latin, Modern, Musical Theatre, Praise Dance, West African and other cultural forms, as well as Color Guard, Dance Team and Cheerleading have played major roles in the company.

The Dance Ensemble performs many times a year, both on campus and in the community. Special opportunities include training, teaching and performing at Bay Area schools, dance festivals, the American College Dance Festival, campus conferences and cultural events, as well as attending master classes with guest artists, career panels and being introduced to the Bay Area dance community.
